Painting work should feel organised and predictable from the start. Most of our projects take place in lived-in homes, so the way the work is planned matters just as much as the finish itself.
At Catansus Painters, the process is kept straightforward. Each project follows a clear sequence, from the first conversation through to the final finish.
Every project begins with a short discussion about the property and the type of work required.
This allows us to understand the scope of the project, the surfaces involved and any specific expectations regarding finish, timing or access to the property.
Where needed, we arrange a visit to view the work in person.
Once the project is understood, we outline the preparation and materials required.
Different surfaces require different approaches. Walls, timber, masonry and metal elements all behave differently and the correct preparation determines how well the finish will last.
This stage also allows us to identify any problem areas early and plan the work properly.
Preparation is often the most important part of the job.
Floors, furniture and surrounding areas are protected first. Surfaces are then cleaned, filled and sanded where necessary to create a stable base for the coatings.
Only once this stage is completed do we begin applying the finishing coats.
Once surfaces are properly prepared, the painting process begins.
Coatings are applied in the correct order and with the appropriate drying times. Edges are kept sharp, coverage is consistent and the work area remains tidy throughout the process.
The aim is always a balanced finish that looks right both immediately and over time.
Before the project is finished, we review the work carefully and make sure everything is completed as agreed.
The working area is cleaned and the space is returned to normal use.
Our aim is simple: leave the property looking refreshed, properly finished and ready to be enjoyed.
