Health and Safety Policy – Catansus Painters

Safety is part of how we work at Catansus Painters. It is not treated as paperwork or a formality, but as a normal part of every project.

A safe and organised working environment helps keep the work predictable, protects the property we are working in and allows the job to progress smoothly from start to finish.

Planning the work safely

Before any work begins, we carry out a simple assessment of the job and the environment. This helps us identify potential risks and plan the work properly from the beginning.

Our team works in line with Irish safety requirements and follows the guidance of the Health and Safety Authority. Tools, ladders and access equipment are used carefully and only where appropriate for the task.

Working safely in your home

Most of our projects take place in occupied homes, which means safety and organisation are especially important.

Before painting begins, floors, furniture and belongings are properly protected. Work areas are kept tidy and controlled throughout the project to reduce disruption and avoid unnecessary risks.

Materials such as paints, solvents and thinners are handled and stored responsibly, and smoking or alcohol is never permitted on site.

Working at height

Where work at height is required, the same level of care applies.

Ladders, scaffolding and access equipment are checked regularly and used correctly. Our team holds the relevant safety training where required, including Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Working at Heights and MEWP certification where applicable.

For our clients, this means reassurance throughout the project. Your home is protected, the work area remains organised and the team on site works in a safe and responsible manner.

At Catansus Painters, safety and workmanship go hand in hand. Both are part of doing the job properly
